Ideal for people who drink two to three cups per coffee session.

I chose the Hario Mini-Slim Pro after doing a lot of research on electric coffee grinders and was frustrated that I couldn't find a clear winner in the $130-$150 price range. The $60 I spent on this coffee grinder is worth every penny and looking back an electric coffee grinder would have been overkill. I don't drink much coffee, so I only drink two or three cups a day and at about the same time each day. ; So filling this little guy full and combining the bases with my french press gives me…

Great first burr grinder

Considering I have used a blade grinder for the past 2 years I can say this grinder is a lot better. Of course, grinding the beans requires some manual work, but your coffee will taste much better as a result. I haven't traveled with him but I can't imagine it's really a hassle. I would recommend that you use tape to tighten the outer ridge as it has slack which in turn allows you to shred particles of wildly different sizes. I have no problem with too much overflow in the grinding trap. I…

So far so good - coffee, tea and espresso

I found a lot of reviews I was looking for: 1. Good materials (plastic parts seem pretty strong, not cheap standard plastic)2 . Easy to disassemble and maintain/clean3. Provides a relatively consistent grind for a decent cup of coffee4. Grinds 25 g in reasonable time (a few minutes)5. Won't wake up the whole house. It has the benefit of being thin and easy to carry, although that wasn't one of my original intentions when purchasing this product. The grind is more consistent than a blade grinder

Step back from Mini Slim Plus

I was quite disappointed with this grinder. The people who commented before pointing out that it's inferior to the Plus model were right. In particular, this model has a number of design and manufacturing issues. The sharpener is difficult to dial and there is a ring of scratches (silver on black) on the edge of the basket - these scratches cannot be avoided, this is a design flaw, see below. At first everything rattles and wobbles. Each joint has huge allowances. I used to have a Hario grinder

  • Satisfied so far

  • Not the best
