Inaccurate measuring tool.

Measurements are not accurate. I checked the one cup measurement with two different measuring cups, both measured 1 1/2 cups in the Hario measuring cup while only adding 1 cup of liquid. Not a good product.

Goes well with my hand blender

Purchased to replace the plastic cup that came with my Cuisinart hand blender. The plastic cup had cracks at the bottom and was leaking. I miss the flared top but am otherwise very happy with how it works with the hand blender.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Chips/holes after washing

Only used 4 months to measure room temperature and cold liquids like milk. Large chips popped out of the bottom during the last wash, the chips went through the glass like a hole. He didn't scold or hit anything. Shit because I loved this mug, perfect size and shape and poured perfectly.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • No instructions

"Cups " are not US liquid cups, milliliters are accurate

The graduation on the glass for "Cups" may be accurate for US measuring cups, NOT LIQUID measuring cups. 2 cups of liquid from a standard Pyrex measuring cup is almost 2-1/2 cups (480ml) for this item. The milliliter graduation "mL" seems to be an accurate measure of the liquid.

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Frequency

hard to read on Kitchen & Dining

There are so many measurements out there that it's hard to just read ounces and cups. The glass is very thin and looks like it might break if dropped on the counter. I only like this for measuring liquids for cold baking. You should not use it to reheat in the microwave because it gets very hot and there is no handle. I'm still not sure if I like it or not compared to a good old Pyrex mug. Looks nice.

Completely inaccurate measurement of liquid

All English cup measurement steps are far from normal. I decided to check the increments when my prescription was off. It turns out that this measuring cup shows a true cup of liquid below the 1 1/3 cup line. So disappointed. It is completely useless for liquid measurement! Measurements in metric milliliters seem accurate, but for cooking recipes that call for measurements like 1/4 cup etc, one doesn't rely on it.

Precise but a bit dainty

Normal measuring cup. The photo is shown against the background of an old school Pyrex mug. I compared it to other professional measuring cups and unlike several other reviewers found it accurate. Single-sided back labels make it easy to read the information on the inside of the mug (plus). I can see how measuring with multiple metric and English scales can be confusing for some, but I had no problems. My main complaint is that it's quite "slim" with a very thin handle and glass. It's not your…

ml labeling seems accurate some limitations for cocktails

I saw that some reviews criticized the accuracy of the labeling which made me check directly on the scale. 200 g water is read on the meniscus as 200 ml. The cup markings are different than 36ml, but that seems to go without saying. Confusing is the labeling of the gram, which suggests the translation function as sugar and wheat (flour?). I'm sure this is part of the precision confusion since you need to read Japanese. It seems that the accuracy for flour is also inaccurate due to packaging…

DOES NOT measure in US/Imperial cups

When I received the glass I knew immediately there was a problem and the cup markings matched the ML markings exactly. This glass appears to be measured in Japanese cups, not US/Imperial cups. It turns out that the Japanese "cup" equals 200ml. A US/Imperial cup is approximately 237 ml. I didn't see that from the product description. It is clear that in hindsight, if you look closely at the photos, this fact becomes obvious. The jar was really well made and it was accurate on machine learning as
