I remove and reinstall them frequently.

They work great for $10. I don't know if I have big nostrils or what, but I rarely get a full seal when kayaking. I don't get water in my nose, but they don't run a bit. You MUST flush your nose with water from time to time or the oil will slip out of your nose. No wow what a deal. Next time I'll take something stronger, but they do their job.

Pros
  • Great for a small home

  • So far so good

Works for nose clips while surfing

I'm surfing in the nasty LA ocean and can't resist surfing after the nasty rain brought a lot of water up my nose. Water runs down my nose for hours after a session. Incredibly, these nose plugs stay in place in heavy surf and really don't let water through, no more runoff! I even cut the rope, it holds up well (knock on wood). It was weird at first to breathe through your mouth - only in the surf, and it was weird too not knowing how to wear it properly. Now I'm used to it and it's great for…

Amazing nose studs - will be buying more

Bought two pairs of nose studs from Revain. This worked great! I find it important to be able to adjust the nose plugs to fit. I can do exactly that with them. They stayed in place and didn't slip. I also bought the Swim Elite noseplugs. They are NOT regulated at all. They're plastic so you can't push them together. I'm posting pictures of both so you can see that the Harmony Smiley Nose Studs are adjustable. Elite fits someone's nose, I just don't know who, but definitely not mine. I will buy…

.Good. best in Water Sports

I wasn't sure about the laces but I attached them to my goggles for comfort while swimming. I can easily take them off for breaststroke and put them on for backstroke. The nose area is not that comfortable; It's easy to put on when I first swim, but once the natural oils on my nose are washed away in the pool water, the nosepiece becomes more difficult to put on. The nose piece is not that comfortable and surprisingly very poor at keeping water out of the nose. I don't think I'd want to rely on

Lower quality and less comfortable than my original 2012 set

Ordered on 28th November 2016 this set was to replace the set I purchased on 14th October 2012. I am very disappointed in the new set. It is no longer produced to the same high quality standards. Here are the problems: 1) My original kit was made out of high quality soft sticky rubber to keep them from slipping off. This new kit uses a different material that is harder and not as sticky; They don't stay on my nose either. 2) My original kit provided even pressure throughout the lining which…

Took six months but found the best nose stud

I've tried several nose clips. I've been swimming for many years, but about a year ago I became allergic to pool water (I've tried different pools). Nose plugs were the only remedy that relieved a runny nose. First of all I hate swimming with nose plugs but if I want to continue this is the only choice. I have tried other means (e.g. nasal spray, petroleum jelly). None of the other noseplugs lasted more than a round or two. However, the emoticons stayed in place for about 1/4 mile before a…

Works fine for me. - Sport

Works well for me. They keep my nose shut when I turn around in the kayak and never come off. My first pair only lasted 8 weeks before it "cracked". Basically the plastic coating is starting to ooze off the wire so I bought another pair. However, I was kayaking 2-3 times a week trying to learn, so for a normal person that could mean a whole season. ** I noticed that Revain increased the prices of the last 3 items I bought and "come back" to buy again. They've been changed from 7.96 to 11.xx, so

The smiley wins where many have failed

I have tried many nose studs and these are by far the best for me. I've tried spring clips with large plastic pads and they all warp and break. I tried the Speedo, they are all plastic but they are very small and don't fit well on my normal sized nose. They work but they think they might fall at any moment so they are unreliable. I also tried the Aqua Sphere and again it only comes in one size and it's not deep enough for my normal sized nose. If you have a small nose, there are many options…
