🔧 Optimix Gear Review

I had a swim bag in the palm of my hand that looked decent but the spot where the hose connected to the bag ripped. I reinforced it with thick electrical tape. I did the same with this one as a preventive measure. Appears to be well built. It fit perfectly in the rear of my Diesel 70.

I have used these on both of my boats before. hand boat and play boat. They're not as expensive as NRS, but they're not far behind either. Excellent quality. Good range of sizes. The reason I'm buying a new one is because I tied it to my boat incorrectly and it fell off in transit.

This is what the company calls short at 37 inches long, not micro like the name of this product. I'm assuming the sizes they list here is the package that comes in the mail, not the inflated bag. Too big for my returning boat. I buy another brand for the size I need.

6 months in, still not leaking. But what I personally like best is that I can just buy one as I can tuck a dry bag in the other side and keep warm and dry clothes, lunch and life gear close at hand but protected. My rolls got tight enough that I didn't have to swim, but they curled up after my spraydeck ruptured and I was able to better control the submerged boat.

I had these bags for my first white water boat and they have held up great so I took them back to outfit my new creek boat. They're big enough for almost any sturdy boat and even my pleasure boat when I need them. They are made of very durable material and should last me for quite a while. They are also reasonably priced. As always a good product from Harmony, they have never let me down with any of their products.

There is a class of kayaks that are longer than pleasure kayaks but shorter than sea kayaks. In the past, they were often not equipped with a front partition, but with a foam carrier. In my case it is 14 feet with a very pointed shape. These are the bags that fit. GREAT. For a transitional/touring/sea kayak without a forward bulkhead but with a foam stand, these are bags. I have a Dagger Mamba 8 and an 8-10 variant that works great with my kayak (8ft cricker /Wild Water). Please note that no mounting material is included. You will need to thread a rope through the holes in the pockets or a carabiner to attach and hold it in the kayak. Although I suspect your seat should hold it in place even if you haven't.
