Quiet doors. well suited for hardware

Completely refreshes the look of a door jamb. The original pads have been dried and painted over and look good and clean. The only wish would be to add the installation tool.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Some bugs

Makes closing doors easier

After 30 years I replace missing and rock hard at the care center where I work. The doors are much quieter when they close.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons

Ideal for most doors.

I used these to replace some existing door mufflers that were damaged and rotted. On most doors they worked well and fit well. On some of them (remember these were very old door frames) I had to resize their spines to a smaller diameter to fit the door frame. Trying to use soap to lubricate and paste them.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons

Great mufflers

We just moved into a new office and none of the doors had mufflers installed. They fit perfectly. I just wish they had some kind of tool or quick tip to explain how to install them. I erased the paint's holes with a Phillips head screwdriver and then used a flat head screwdriver to poke holes in the edges. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to get around the office and install them all pretty quickly.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Weight

Brilliant! Bought these to replace worn ones.

Great! Bought these to replace the worn ones on our church doors. DO NOT use the special wire installation tool that fits into the tiny hole you see at the top of the cone. You'll just punch a hole in your muffler. Instead, use a small, flat-blade pocket screwdriver to gently push the cone inward while moving the screwdriver around the cone. IMPORTANT: Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the surface of the cone before inserting into the 1/4" to 17/64" hole. The 17/64" bore makes the job…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
