Harris looks better

My review is a bit biased as I have always worked with Harris products. I have Tried Wolverine, Lucas-Milhaupt, Lincoln etc and Harris doesn't seem to fit in. Maybe it's just what I'm used to.

Pros
  • Item Package Size: 2.38"L x 2.38"W x 2.25"H
Cons
  • Some small things

No choice for real silver.

So when working with hard silver, silver can be difficult and the fumes are too strong even with proper ventilation. Probably a good flux for the irony of the copper. I recommend people looking for quality silver flux to get a borax cone instead.

Pros
  • Operating range 1050Β°F - 1600Β°F
Cons
  • Good but not great

Harris seems to be better

My review is a bit biased having always worked with Harris products. Everything they do seems to be of the highest quality. I've tried Wolverine, Lucas-Milhaupt, Lincoln and so on and something doesn't seem right to Harris. Maybe I'm just used to it.

Pros
  • Active Range 1050Β°F - 1600Β°F
Cons
  • Not bad but...

No choice for real silver.

So when you're working with solid sterling silver, sterling silver can be tricky and suppress pairs, even when used correctly Aeration Ironically, Copper Flux recommends people looking for a quality silver flux to get a borax cone instead.

Pros
  • Item Pack Size: 2.38"L x 2.38"W x 2.25"H
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Arrived

great stream. Just make sure you use the correct solder.

This is the only flux I use for silver soldering. Before using it I could never get solder to stick. I tried several other fluxes and thought flux is flux. Obviously I was wrong. You must use the correct flux for the type of solder and type of metal you are working with. This is made for high quality silver solder and is excellent for this purpose. Always read the label on your silver and flux to make sure you have compatible products. That being said, if you start with a really clean metal…

Pros
  • Package Item Weight: 0.27 lbs
Cons
  • Available in black only
