Great Price!: Accessories & Supplies

I like this antenna because it fits snugly in the rear window of my multi-seat cab, is barely visible, works well and saved me the trouble of fitting another external antenna to my truck.

This antenna works great!

The antenna works great! I hooked it up to my scanner, attached it to the wall just below the ceiling with the self-adhesive tape, and the scanner picks up all the frequencies around me. Recommended for home installation.

  • Great product
Cons
  • There are problems

Small but poor radio reception

I bought this for my car because I wanted my understated look to be cleaner than the whip antenna on my truck. It seemed to work just as well as the fixed retractable antenna that came with my scanner, but now that it's installed in my car it doesn't seem to pick up all traffic and isn't as clear as other antennas I've had. Eat me. Love the idea but wish each antenna was about twice as long, I think the extra length would help.

  • Annoying

less than $10 worth a try

This antenna is not as good as I was hoping. It's very small and the cable barely holds up, but I don't have very good reception with it. I feel this is only slightly better reception than the cheap retractable antenna that came with my scanner. I've had antennas that attach to the window and stick out like a car radio antenna and they seem to work much better than this. If you're concerned about size or cost and aren't trying to hear something too far away, this will likely work just fine. But

Good bang for your buck.

I use this on my Uniden BCD996P2 and it is on the inside of the windscreen on the passenger side. For a 4" dipole this is awesome. I wish the wire was a few feet longer and thicker. I see that over time it becomes susceptible to RF interference. Overall I recommend this to many people who can't drill a hole or want or don't want to use a magnetic antenna. Apart from the length of the thin wire, this is a 4" dipole. You won't get the same coverage and reception as you would with a 50" whip…

Reliable performance at a great price

I am very pleased to share my surprise at how well this cheap little antenna works (for me). Most of my monitoring is on 800MHz trunked systems and this little antenna works great for that band. I'm using a coax relay to switch between an 800MHz gain rooftop antenna and a built in bandpass filter to reduce cell tower interference. With this filter the radio ONLY receives between 700 - 860 MHz. If I want to check the weather section while traveling or listen to other bands, I flip a switch and…
