Great "tent" for camping and sleeping in the back seat of my Kia Soul. The fabric is thin but seems to hold up well. I'm glad I did a test setup in my driveway as there are no instructions included. I also bought 2 tent poles to extend the canopy and create a dry shaded area. For the price I would buy again.

Bought this as a gift for my son to use on his Honda Element when he goes camping. He couldn't use it yet but tried to install it. The instructions were unclear and he tried searching for online videos but found nothing. It feels pretty solid and folds up nice and compact, but it'll take a few tries to figure out just how useful it is.

I have a 2007 Honda Element. I wanted something like a tent where the tailgate could be lowered when in use. If the gate fits when the gate is closed but there is too much space on the bottom to be comfortable for the insects not to get in. If you are looking for a tent that only exposes the upper back, this is a good option. Selection. I personally wanted the back to be completely open to give me and the dogs a little more floor space.

This is a very, very cheap tent for the bed of a minivan. Unfortunately, these tents typically cost over $150 and aren't much more durable. The reason I'm keeping the tent is that I'm hoping to use the tent as a reference and make my own with a stronger fabric. I haven't tested the fabric but I doubt it's waterproof. The saving grace is that with a hatchback, the top of the tent is covered by the hatchback, providing protection from the weather.

Definitely a cool concept but poor execution. I put this on my car and knew right away that this tent wasn't going to hold up. It's too light, the bungee hooks are cheap, the plastic is flimsy and breaks, and the zipper is of poor quality. This zipper is a little pull from breaking. And why don't you zip the inside of the flap? If you are very delicate with the gear and don't use it often, this will work for you. Although I go camping every weekend and need my gear to last. I check before I leave so I have time to return it and buy something else. I think I like it, it's small and light, looks well made and the price was good. Whether it is actually waterproof remains to be seen. However, I was tempted to return it because when I asked for the instructions, the seller replied that I didn't need them, they were intuitive and others could assemble them. He obviously doesn't know much about business and customer service. I'll check it out, but I'm not very positive…

I ended up selling this to someone who had a tailgate (a Toyota minivan) and another tent. I'll look into this when I get a chance to put it on my E. Not great for a Honda Element, but you can make it work if you try. You can see in my photo it only fits with the tailgate closed. This defeats the purpose of opening the tailgate for additional sleeping/storage space. You'll need to add additional wiring or bungee to mod a car with a liftgate and hatchback like the Element (or CRV) well enough…

Story Time! The reason I bought this tent is because it was my first time going on a weekend camping trip with friends and I absolutely hated sleeping on the ground. It was a great concept idea; However, the performance is... not that good. First, it was perhaps several orders of magnitude stronger than aluminum foil. It was the most fragile tent I have ever seen. Second, while it was fairly easy to install on my 2021 Toyota Highlander and fitted almost perfectly (you'll need magnets for a better fit to prevent flying/crawling vermin from entering through the side edges), I couldn't help but think, that the company sewed zippers and shields into a material…
