Non-stick coating came off

The coating on the pan came off within 3 months making this purchase worthless otherwise it was a great Jawa for roti but it didn't last long.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost never

Perfect for dosa not roti

We use tava to make dosa and it works like a charm but unfortunately we cannot use the same tava to make roti or pulka as they easily burn and the purification of the tava is very difficult. bright. If anyone is looking for a tava to make roti I would recommend looking at other products.

Pros
  • Pleasant

Amazing for Dosas: Cookware

This item is ideal for Dosas. We have been looking for a dosa pan for a long time and after trying a few this one really helped us. It makes paper thin or thick depending on what you like. It radiates heat evenly across the entire pan, which helps the dosas cook well. It is not difficult to use and is very easy to clean. Very happy with it.

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Style 90

Featured! on tableware

Anyone who uses frying pans very often will definitely buy. One of the best in quality but very expensive you won't regret it. You need to take good care of the item to make it last a long time. Up to 4 small cakes can be prepared at the same time. Better to use for fire cooking than serpentine, serpentine requires you to move the pan to cook the corners properly.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Will write later

Wish they would flatten it out as advertised. Most western cooktops are flat electric glass plates. And even if this pan looks flat, that's no problem. I'm waiting for someone who can make a good quality shallow dosa pan that is thick and doesn't warp when I heat it over high heat. However, these are the best yet that fit my criteria.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Expensive

Deformed after first use, no drip edges

After the 1st use we noticed that the pan was no longer flat and took the shape of a spoon or curled up on the outside. With each subsequent use, the shape of the spoon became more pronounced. The pan is still usable, just not quite level. We have a skillet that can reheat 5 tortillas, but really only fits 4. There is no drip edge so putting olive oil in the plan will make it a mess as it will drip down the sides.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Really damn good! on cookware

We don't have much time but we used it 3 times to make south Indian dosas. The base is excellent at radiating heat, especially when used on a high calorific value gas burner. The non-stick coating is excellent. Even though the handle is plastic, it feels strong enough and has enough offset not to melt/burn (a common problem with this type of pan). I wish the handle was welded to the pan, but it's bolted/riveted instead. Let's see how it holds up over time. The buyer should take into accountโ€ฆ

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Dear

Perfect for Dosas - by those who have experimented with several

This product is phenomenal for Dosas! Yes! I know it's just a frying pan, but I have to tell you it's the best we've ever used. Recently I was trying to make the perfect masala dosa and I bought a 10-11 inch cast iron skillet and then another 14 inch cast iron skillet and they are good but the dosa gets stuck from time to time. and you must spend time seasoning them. What I like about this pan Size - Big size for big cans ;). 13 inch which is perfect2. Thickness: The pan is thicker than mostโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Compatibility
