Denied HDCP, good value

Straight to the point, this HDMI splitter rejects HDCP, meaning you can capture things like PS3 and even cables over HDMI. Of course, unlike some other splitters, you can also have a dual viewing experience (1 channel for 2 screens). Definitely worth buying, my only issue is the clutter factor. You need 3 HDMI cables and the splitter has a wired power adapter and when you use something like Elgato to record stuff it confuses the cable even more. If you're buying this, just consider the chaos it

  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

It does exactly what it says on the tin and installation couldn't be simpler. If your task is to display the SAME image on two (2) screens, but as in most cases your portable device only has one HDMI port, this is a great solution. It really is plug n play. If you want to EXPAND YOUR DESKTOP by installing two (2) monitors, this product is NOT the answer. Only in this case you will get the same picture on two screens. If you need to extend your desktop and only have one (1) HDMI port, you will…

The noise went away after a few months of use.

This product worked fine for the first few months, then it suddenly started cutting out the sound on devices connected to the splitter. After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to the lag and instant black screen when switching devices. The sound issue doesn't appear to be related to switching devices as it does so without changing the input at all. If I unplug the splitter and plug it back in, the sound comes back briefly. After about 20 minutes it goes off again. Unfortunately, I had…

Replacement for a similar product 5 years ago

I needed to replace the splitter I used while at work - I used it so I could connect my laptop to monitors and use windows to windows over the ad to open. It simply reflects the signal from one source to a second source. Now I use it to split the signal from my cable box to mirror the screen onto a second TV in the next room. Works great, compact and unobtrusive. For this app you will also need an app for your phone or tablet to control the set top box remotely (via a wireless connection)…

Output to two HDMI displays

Direct, one HDMI input to two HDMI outputs simultaneously. He does it and he does it well. However, there are a few things to note and why I deducted a star. 1. You MUST connect all HDMI devices BEFORE connecting power. Otherwise the device may be damaged. If you plug that in and out, you'll be fine. Let a lot of people use it by plugging and unplugging things randomly? Not a good idea. This is noted on a small note at the bottom of the box.2. The splitter does not like converters. HDMI-DVI…

Bypass HDCP on PS4 as of 03/01/2019

I bought this unit specifically to bypass HCDP on my PlayStation 4 and the splitter did the job without hesitation. Of course I didn't do this because of piracy, but because my PS4 had a serious miscommunication with my 2007 Gateway Monitor and I decided to block the signal completely. After trying all the methods in the book to solve the problem, I finally started investigating HDCP bypass, and here I am. I went back and forth between several products, checking customer questions, answers and…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

I bought this to record on PS3 with my Elgato, it worked but never worked well. First, it tries to be a "smart" splitter that turns on the output when it "detects" a device on it. The problem is that it doesn't recognize some devices properly like my mCable or even my old TV, so I spent hours trying to figure it out. The splitter needs to be turned on or off and NOT trying to detect a cable that will not work at all with that cable. This is all redundant, however, as in just over two weeks of…
