I bought this to replace the fan in my Lorex security camera. It went very well for 9 months. However, it began to emit a terrible roar, and the fan would alternately spin and then not spin. My DVR shut down due to overheating. I hope my DVR will still work if I replace the fan again.

I've used this to replace a broken fan in a Q-See DVR (QC918) and it's working great so far. I ended up not using the case and just replacing the fan itself. The screws were slightly larger than the originals so I used the original screws and everything fitted together nicely. Much cheaper than buying a new system or paying over $100 to have it repaired.

Same as others. Tried both. The first fan was incredibly loud when mounted on a perfectly flat CCTV motherboard. I removed that one and replaced it with my second (identical) one. It was noisy too. I broke it to make it quieter. I installed the first one and ran another 10 minutes or so and eventually it settled down. Cheap Chinese junk. Nobody can make an installation worth? A fan that does what it's supposed to. If you bought these, you know your needs and characteristics. Suitable for standard Lorex security system motherboards sold by Costco. You can change your case if you need extra ventilation, but to be honest this should help.

This is my second purchase (repurchase) of this product for another Lorex DVR. LHV2000 series. My first purchase was in August 2018 for my client. I just tested their DVR (November 2019) and it's still working! It has been a year, two months or more since I repaired your dash cam with this product. This fan was the perfect replacement for the old fan on my DVR security cameras. The old fan kept getting louder and louder, causing irritation. The new fan is not quiet either, but it is significantly quieter than the old one. Easy to fix. I didn't see in the description of the fan that it came with thermal paste so I bought it. However, there wasn't much in it, so I used it instead of what I bought unnecessarily.

I'm very glad Revain sells these. Everyone with FLIR DVRs seems to need to replace their CPU fan every few years. I tried repairing the original DVR fan and although the repair worked for a while I had to go back and try again every few months. They are so cheap that I can buy a pair and just replace them when needed. I just want the family to last longer than it has now. Follow-up June 2018 - while I'm still glad they're available here, the one I bought in January of this year stopped working.
