Lasts about two years.

Bought to replace another tarpaulin. They last about 2 years in direct sunlight and then fall apart (crack and tear) very quickly. This type of tarpaulin has a durable appearance and transmits light very well. I've bought quite a few and if I still have this greenhouse in 2 years I will most likely buy another one. Decent price versus buying a replacement kit from the original greenhouse manufacturer.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Excellent tarpaulin, if not entirely transparent

I've used it as a plant cover for three weeks and it works well. I'm struggling to call it transparent as there are a lot of white fibers running through it. I understand they add extra strength to the tarpaulin and that some of that was there, but I would call it white rather than transparent based on the amount of fibers running through it. Best 50/50. It's working great for my needs right now, but I wanted others to know about it.

Pros
  • A worthy achievement
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Not rectangular, not waterproof, not 20ft wide

I have a hard time imagining that 20ft PVC pipe could be much larger than the 20ft width of this tarp. Also, the tarp is not rectangular, if you look at the pictures you can see that I have straight 20 foot pieces of PVC pipe bent into a curved greenhouse and while the tarp extends to the bottom of the PVC pipe extends and squares on one side, it does not reach the bottom of the PVC pipe on the other side and is not square on the other side.

Leaks after 5-6 months

I use this on my chicken coop to provide filtered light and prevent rain from getting into the pen. I bought 2. One was stored folded up on deck in inclement weather, the other was used en route. After about 6 months, tarpaulin #1 starts to leak. No problem, I have a second tarp on deck that was just lying there. No, this one is also leaking. The chickens are wet from the rain falling on them through the tarpaulin. It's as if he doesn't exist at all. They are not weather resistant for long. I…

Great for a quick greenhouse

We live on the rainy side of the Big Island of Hawaii and we needed something to protect our tomatoes from the rain but let the sun through. This tarpaulin serves its purpose perfectly. I built the frame with 1" electrical wire and pulled a tarp over it. It seems solid enough and with a one year warranty I expect it to last at least a year. The only improvement I can suggest is that it There are more standard sizes (e.g. 10x10, 10x20, 20x20, etc.) Also, the tarp size shown is the actual tarp…

Looking for 11 Mill Visqueen?

Hard to find 11 Mill Visqueen. I love this product. It's a workable size (for my needs), we're not talking 100 feet in length. It comes with aluminum spacers and built-in mesh (fiber embedded in plastic). The product is quite opaque with a vertical and horizontal grid. I was looking for a product to separate parts of my store from others. I can't say anything about the UV properties as mine is in the garage. The product transmits light and is easily cut into equal parts (thanks to the vertical…

  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • unreliable

Poor quality - not recommended

The build quality of the tarpaulin is poor - obvious stitching makes it cheap. The grommets are uneven, some at 17, some at 19, some at 19.5, it's random as if it was handcrafted by someone who didn't care. I could live with that, but what makes me rate it low for my application (I used it to cover a porch in the winter) is that the tarp tears easily compared to other tarps of the same thickness. Tiny elastic cords (little 1/8 or 1/4 inch around things that look like springs) ripped some of the
