Expensive but one of the most durable disposable plates I've ever used

I try to recycle and care for the earth, but I have often found that I simply pay more for a poor quality product. However, these plates are an upgrade of most paper plates. They are very strong and durable. It takes a kilt of force to bend the panel. It holds up well to slicing and doesn't get soggy from juice and gravy. They are much thicker than I except and more durable than the eponymous brand plates. You can support steaks which is very big in my family. My husband doesn't normally useโ€ฆ

Similar to Chinese but Compostable

Heavy Duty Round 100% Compostable Paper Plates, 60-Pack, White, 9" Similar to other heavy-duty uncoated plates like Chinet, but they are compostable. Since these panels are uncoated, you must take this into account when using them. They're probably not the best choice if the food contains a lot of liquid. They are just under 9 inches. I like the idea of composting them, but they need to be sent to an industrial composting facility. So I'm not sure if my plates are composted or not. We don'tโ€ฆ

Good quality, good price. More eco-friendly than plastic (but not sure how eco-friendly).

Good size plate. Good ending. They remind me of "Chinet" brand paper plates. I love that these plates are made from plant fiber and not non-renewable oil like plastic plates, but I wish the label said more about what type of plant fiber (i.e. ecologically harvested tropical forest plants, that's what matters). While the plates are advertised as compostable, the label clearly states that they can only be composted in industrial composting facilities, so should not be thrown in your home compostโ€ฆ
