I've been using these for years but lately I've found that my frozen food burns VERY quickly in them. I was surprised! They had never done this before, but I was beginning to realize that everything I had invested in them over the last year was useless. So much money was burned in the freezer! I will use normal sealed freezer bags. I can't help but wonder if air got into the freezer bags through the zipper.

PRO: -sturdy material, I've never managed to accidentally tear one of these. -Zipper closes the back quickly and precisely. -Guse at the bottom ensures these bags can stand up when they are partially filled alone. This makes filling it out much easier. If you had to eat straight from one, a gusset would be almost essential. CONS: - Expensive compared to discount brands or bulk generics. Love the sliding design of these heavy duty storage bags and have been buying them locally for a while. The slip is a lot easier and a more secure closure than the old school zip bags and I find the closure more secure too. There is one downside, although it's usually easy to avoid. These bags have a design problem. The end on which the latch rests when closed may break if the top is opened with slight pressure.
