Lost my expensive saree lock when I wasn't making sure it 'clicked'. I didn't want to pay that price again, found this and it works. You need a key to open AND lock which ensures I don't lose it, but for some reason it's an ordeal for me. Nice, solid lock. Thats only me.

I use this to secure a bike rack that someone might need more than me. I have a 2" receiver on my Jeep and this lock is more than long enough for the job. The thread matches the post that fixes the problem so it doesn't wobble. I recommend lubricating the threads with grease to keep them from rusting. said I won't leave it in place for long as it's weatherproof and not weatherproof.

This towbar was found when searching for 'Thule towbar'. The description does not list any specs and answers to questions about bike racks are mixed. I can say with certainty that this lock will not fit Thule bike racks. The thread pitch is different. Revane, you need to be better at filtering what people are searching for. Nothing in this product description says anything close to "Thule".

This lock and pin fit my Yakama Holdup. Connected straight away, no problem. Fits exactly like the original lock and screw pin I had. Seems to be strong. I just received the lock so I can't comment on durability yet. It is firmly screwed, the stand does not dangle. I like that when the lock is secure, the key releases automatically. For those looking for an alternative to the Yakima Hitch Lock (which has had many complaints), this is the PERFECT alternative. At first I wasn't sure if this would work, but after looking closely at the thread count on high resolution images I decided to try it on my Yakima Doubledown 2 - and it worked great. The overall construction of the hitch is much nicer, and the keys are nicer too. I am very happy with it and highly recommend it.

1-1/4" hitch. It uses a 1/2"-13 t/in anti-rattle bolt (standard, non-metric). I needed a locking bolt to have peace of mind. Softride no longer makes roof racks and accessories. This lock also has a 1/2-13 -Threaded and threads in smoothly.(.one of the few locking screws that even mentions the thread size in the description.Specs; how refreshing!) I lost my sari lock, apparently I installed the lock and did not lock it properly. I wasn't thrilled that I spent $40 on a new sari lock, so I did a little research to look for alternatives. I found out that the Sari Locking Hitch Tite has a 1/2" threaded bolt and 13 threads (1/2"-13). Yakima's misaligned cable lock didn't fit the tongue of my new OnRamp rack - there wasn't enough clearance between the tongue socket and the end of the hitch pin.
