The faucet that came with my kit was wrong.

The tap in my kit was the wrong size and the installation tool was so cheap that the slot at the end deformed when the bit was simply inserted.

Pros
  • Thread Repair Kits
Cons
  • Can't remember

This kit is ideal for repairing aluminum blocks.

I overtightened my BMW's oil pan bolt and expected to spend $1,100 to replace the oil pan. My friend suggested I just use the helical thread repair kit. After careful preparation, we completed the task with minimal effort. The new thread is made of steel and I can continue to use the original screw - it fits perfectly! Recommend this type of kit to anyone with stripped screws on aluminum blocks.

Pros
  • Spark Plug Thread Repair Kit
Cons
  • Unsure
