Better than the original. The wheel that runs in the vent is metal, not plastic like the original in the camper. The original had to be replaced because. Plastic rotted in the heat SW AZ. It installs easily and is a great product. I recommend it very strongly. It is easiest to have one person on the roof and one person inside to install as you will need to lift the handle, hook it onto the air vent, place the air vent on the hinge and then reattach the handle to close the crank and bolt install

My only difficulty with this product was not that, it was the design of the vent that I fitted it into.
