Shocked at the condition of the product

I bought a used Revain 'like new' halter. When they arrived, one of the crown buckles was missing and the skin around one of the rings was chewed through. Not sure how it was marked "stock checked" but arrived in totally unusable condition. Super lazy because I might just buy a new one if I knew.

Pros
  • Turtleneck with snap button for easy on and off
Cons
  • So far so good

Not the quality I'm used to from HDR

Definitely degraded quality. Not sure what happened as this is my 3rd and the other 2 are really good. The color is wrong too. I ordered oak bark and it's going to be darker. It's actually an ugly shade of brown, closer to Havana than oak bark. My other HDR oak bark shade is a nice light golden brown. I would send it back but not worth the hassle. You just can't buy a fourth.

Pros
  • Triple seam halter for show or everyday use in the stable
Cons
  • There are flaws

Spend your money elsewhere!

I rarely write reviews but I chose to do so because the leather is of very poor quality. If you're spending $65, there are much better leather halters out there. At first I couldn't even tell if it was real leather, it's very hard and an ugly red-orange color. I would like to return it as I am now stuck with inferior and unattractive halters. I recommend the Americana brand, it's about $20 more expensive, but they're beautiful, last forever and look amazing on any horse!

Pros
  • Made of soft black French leather
Cons
  • Exchange possible
