There are pluses and minuses, think before you buy.

While the original one dries for a day, we'll use this one as a replacement. Although it is not stated on the market, a popular online retailer's instructions for a similar Chinese filter state that it needs to be washed once a month and lasts for three months. The original one should also be washed once a month, but the maker claims it lasts for two years. So I'm not sure how warranted these savings are. Time will reveal.

Pros
  • lower cost than the original.
Cons
  • The quality is in no way comparable to a Dyson. The filter's internal pores have substantially smaller surface areas. It is firmly fastened on, and at first I even believed that it did not fit.
