Easy to knit and cut, green looks beautiful but does not stay flat when unfolded. We've been laying ours out for about 2 weeks now and our tortoise is walking around the hilly area, maybe that's a funny thing, depends on the customer ;) We clean it once a week but it still keeps the smell more than other products that I used.

These reptile mats are awesome. They help my ball python by giving her something that isn't too hard on her scales, but is still rough and textured enough for her to rub against when she's in the scales. They are much easier to clean than other types of bedding/substrate and are much less likely to meet the environmental needs of unwanted pests such as mites. They came rolled up and the price was great. But we had a hard time smoothing them out so they lay flat. So I decided to try a blow dryer to see if a little heat would smooth out the wrinkles. It worked, but I used too much heat (in a hurry) and melted a small piece of the base into a circle by placing the blow dryer directly on it. It doesn't matter, but I've found the hard way that the LOW setting provides enough heat, don't bring the dryer too close to the carpet and look for an unwanted…
