The Best Notched Collars.

Not interchangeable. Herm Sprenger collars are made with incredible quality. In my 15 years of dog training, I have tried other brands of food twice. We returned a day later. I recommend anyone who hasn't had a trainer to show them how to use a collar properly to find one. If used correctly, you can pinch very, very few times.

Big! It is suitable for 50lb German Shepherd/Cattle Dogs.

Excellent! He is a perfect match for a 50 pound German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix and has a very thick neck. This is a great alternative to chain collars that won't stop choking dogs when pulled on it. She never screamed. She must sit still while dressing and undressing as the prongs could sting her eyes or nose. But they usually fit very well, so that's not a problem. It feels heavy but doesn't seem to bother her at all. We have tried halti, soft handler and puppy courses but our dog still pulls.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Big and bulky

I was wrong - clamping rings

First I bought a medium Herm but it was too weak for my Rott and I felt uncomfortable using it. One trainer said yes, another no, and now that my pup is a year old. This heavy Herm has done an excellent job of self-correcting the out-of-control behavior. I'm a tall man, but my boy still needed to increase his walking pace without pouncing on birds, squirrels, and other dogs. So far I'm happy with the product and with 2 links removed it fits perfectly just under the ears. I prefer heavy over…

sure convenient and effective. BELIEVE THIS IS BAD AND PAINFUL

When used properly, it hugs the base of the skull bone snugly, cradling the dog and making him feel secure under your control like his mother's delicate teeth. The collar is physiologically the only collar that can be used for a walk, since any other type of collar puts your dog at risk of tracheal injury. It is very misleading to think that these collars are cruel when educated on proper use by the right animal behaviorists like Michael Cronin; LA, animal behaviorist. One of the best I think…

Superb finish and control with this collar.

I have a 2GS about £95. I got one from a trainer. I decided to buy one for the other. This collar has more links than mine. I measured 21 inches and took out 2 links. It works because this dog's neck is thicker than the other. The collar is heavy, German quality. I appreciate the craftsmanship and use of this collar. The first day I put it on and walked the dogs, a rabbit ran in front of us. He withdrew a little and did his job as expected. I feel safe with this collar. The collar is easy to…

I wish I had had this for my puller a few years ago!

My 95 pound kennel/lab mix was a tow truck and I had a hard time walking in his seat belts. Using this collar is like day and night from the first time we used it as it no longer pulls. But if he does, he corrects himself because he doesn't want to feel the tightness of the collar. I had to get used to turning it on and off, but other than that it's one of the best things to happen in 2020! I kick myself for not getting it much sooner! I also watched some YouTube videos to train him properly…

  • Easy setup

  • The list is getting long.

Authentic Herm Sprenger - great for strong dogs!

We have a 74 pound German Shepherd who always wore a spiked collar when walking because he tends to chase squirrels, small dogs and other furry missiles, but it was a collar that we found at a local bought business. pet store many years ago. We found that the quality of the line was just as important as the fact that she broke the line to catch the rabbit. :/ An 80lb 1 year old German Shepherd recently joined our family and I knew we needed another spiked collar so my 15 year old son could walk

That's great.

Our 150 lb Great Dane puppy became unwieldy at 11 months old and I am a 6ft 190 lb Soldier. He was dragging me down the hills faster than I could come back, this collar changed that instantly. For those of you who are thinking "this is inhuman or looks horribly painful" it really isn't, I can tell you because I tested it on myself first as oddly I do everything for the dog ( treats, food, etc.). , if I don't eat it or expose myself to it, why should I expect it either. This collar is "extremely

Great quality!: Collars

My dog has a 15 inch neck where he should wear a collar so this one was huge on him with all the links. Why didn't I measure? I do not know. The good news is you can take out links so I warned about the large size as I wasn't sure. I give it 5 stars because this spiked collar is of excellent quality and finish. However, in hindsight I don't think I would have gotten this one for the following reasons: I have a large dog (mastiff mix) and since the limbs were removed to get the correct…
