🧀 Heuck Presto Cheese Slicer Review: 4-Inch Blade for Effortless Cheese Cutting! Review

This replaced an identical item that eventually broke after years of use. It cuts through a solid block of cheese with difficulty and still holds up very well.

This is my second all-metal cheese knife. The last one died after 30 years! My plastic can last up to a year. An excellent track record so far. This slicer is not adjustable, but that's how I wanted it. You have those who adapt. Good product!

It's like my old 3 inch drawer with a 50 year lifespan. I bought the larger 4" as cheese comes in all sizes. With a new one I took a chance fixing the antiques. And now it will cut the cheese again. I was able to loosen the end screw and tighten the wire. If it lasts, I'm happy.

Nothing fancy but just what you'd expect from a cheese slicer. When my old one broke, I started looking for a replacement. I tried several slicers and then came across this one. I donated all the others to Good Will, some of which were much more expensive than this one! The Presto food slicer is durable, precise and feels good in the hand.

This is a piece of junk and proof that they don't do things the way they used to. My old Presto cheese slicer died and I was happy to replace it. But it's a cheap metal (or plastic?) with a metallic coating that's peeling everywhere. There are small metal flakes in each piece of cheese. I'm sure it's dangerous for our health. This is a big disappointment.

We eat cheese and crackers almost every night, so we cut a lot of cheese. And we understand that they wear out over time, so we will buy several at once. We like this design compared to the competition. BUT. They just don't make them the way they used to be. The metal was chipping on some as mentioned in other reviews. We have had a much older version of the same cheese slicer for decades. It was wonderful and lasted what felt like an eternity. Eventually the wire broke and we tried replacing the wires but they never worked properly. We thought its new version (with the exact same design) would be a good replacement.
