So if you order a pair and then want to use them for a two point piece, you will at least have to do some grinding or adjusting a lot on the indicator. Great vise for the price. I'm using this on a 6040 CNC router. It's about the same height you'd probably want on a CNC router of this size as the Z axis is quite limited. My 2" vise gives me more room. I don't know if I need a screwless vise, but they work pretty well. They're more compact than a set screw vise.
