Bought the 3 inch and loved it

Much better than expected. Within a thousandth of one end to the other. Very clean and lightly oiled with normal paper foil. Wooden box is also good.

Pros
  • Made from high quality tool steel, stress-free to prevent warping
Cons
  • Little things

Good value for money

All records arrived clean from rust and dents. This is a relief after reading any of the reviews before buying. Each pair was individually wrapped in oiled protective paper. The only small thing is that the inner parallel holders/spacers are made of a very soft material, which did not hold the parallel during transport.

Pros
  • Complete with durable plastic case
Cons
  • Great price

Came with rust on the edges!

Received these today and started unboxing and derusting but saw 4 of them had rust on the precision surfaces! And not a little. First cleaned with wd40, then with acetone, without success. There was also rust in the mounting holes, but that's not as important as the edges. I'm currently soaking them in oil in hopes that they can be cleaned enough to be usable, but the rust has built up bad enough to be easily felt with a fingernail so I'm not entirely sure. They were covered with oiled paper…

Pros
  • Precision grinding and hardening
Cons
  • Disappearing
