Brackets arrived as expected. Simple instructions and easy installation. This is a good solution for installing a Hi-Lift jack if you don't want it to be mounted on the hood of your Jeep. One feature I didn't like in the description is that the screws that hold the jack in place have a hole. So you can add a padlock to make sure Jack doesn't escape. The holes are not large enough for a standard padlock shackle, but a small padlock should be sufficient to deter theft.

I installed it in the body of our 2018 power station wagon. Mistake!

Do not install without a back. He tore up the inside of our bed with the heavy end of the jack. Each of the top two inserts tore a 3 inch gap in the sheet metal. I can't imagine we were the first to have this happen. It was on gravel roads which were average and not difficult in any way. I've had high lifts in cars for the last 35 or 40 years, but always with a welded bumper or heavy pipe mount of my own construction. Can't fault the mount but am still disappointed with the design. Do not…

Great solution to the "mess " problem

I purchased this system to raise the Hi-Lift jack off the floor of my 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The system came with all the necessary equipment. Installation was easy - it required two people. At least one of these people needs VERY long arms. I installed a bottom plate (homemade) for the rearmost bracket as the bed metal isn't very thick and that's where most of the weight is concentrated. It may not be necessary, but I feel better using it. I have a Rhino liner on my bed. The screws were

nicely made and easily adapts to different setups

This mounting system worked exactly as designed to mount my high lift jack horizontally on my truck's toolbox. The two bolts that go through the post from the jack have padlock holes, but I replaced them with longer stainless steel bolts that run from the outside plate and jack into the inside of my toolbox where I used a thin but strong steel plate which was drilled to match the post holes and center bolt hole. I put lock washers and large wing nuts in the anti-theft tool box, but they were…

Good product! - Lifts, Lifts and Jacks

This product fits my 99 Jeep Cherokee easily. I drilled the 8 holes required for the installation in the front bumper and put my hand behind the bumper with an open end wrench to unscrew the nuts on the ends of the bolts and had a helper run the ratchet from the outside of the bumper . Tighten the screws and it was fine. I like it mounted on the front bumper because it's out of the way and easily offsets any weight I put on the back of the car. It holds the jack very firmly, but at the same…

Additional hardware may be required

They are reliable and working as expected. must be supplied with more washers and more lock washers. In addition, 2 mounting dowels would be nice. One is under the elevator and the other is upstairs. I think this will fix it up better and give it a nice finished look. I can't imagine you would want to install the brackets without at least using washers on each side. The only other problem I had was finding a good seat. to mount it. I wanted to get on the bumper, but there was nothing in the…

Heavy duty means HEAVY DUTY.

It arrived REALLY late but I'm not complaining because this is the reliable HiLift mount you need. Keep in mind that the mounts are larger than most, but for good reason. I am using a Voodoo Fabrication pole, a full length solid steel pole with a full length CVT tent on a 2017 Tacoma with cover. It was one of the few rack systems that allowed a cover to be used with a rack, so my options were limited. The rack itself is very modular, but the brackets were so large that I had to custom fabricate

Installed on the front bumper of a 2008 Chevy Silverado.

I installed this on the front bumper of my 2008 Chevy Silverado. Since the Silverado's bumper isn't flat and the bolts are a little crooked after installation, I took a sledgehammer and straightened the bolts 1/2" that hold the real jack in place. You must drive the screws with wing nuts to avoid damaging the threads. Try not to touch the threads. You are solid. Jack doesn't move. This is a good platform to stand on (on a jack) if you want to do maintenance/work on the engine. I considered…
