I needed bumpers for my baby when we converted her crib into a crib but I didn't need traditional bumpers. The Hicapop bed rail bumper is perfect. It's big enough to hold her in his bed, super soft and perfect for her crib transformation.

I bought this bumper for my little one who is about to get out of bed. The description specifically states that it is suitable for this case, but then when I received the bumper it was all advised NOT to be placed in a cot. It also came in a box that was very battered and possibly opened/used. I will definitely come again.

Bumpers are a quality product at an affordable price but they were not effective for our 2.5 year old. On her first night in a big girl's bed, she fell out twice. The bumpers were correctly attached, but she managed to flip them over and fall to the ground twice. Luckily, I laid out some pillows and blankets on the floor to cushion my fall, just in case.

Bottom line these things are easily better than regular bed rails. Much softer, easier to install, more portable for trips to grandma's, etc. Big enough that kids won't roll off, but not so big that they can't climb over to get into bed. The only issue we had is the bumper fitting snugly under some of the sheet metal sets. If you have a thinner mattress or sheets with deep pockets, no problem. I was torn between this bed guard and the more traditional bed rail. I liked the idea but was nervous about how it would work. My 2 year old has moved from a cot to a double bed and I want her to be safe. I chose this less traditional approach and am very glad I did! I like these bumpers as they are flimsy but effective compared to real raised bed rails. As promised, they do not slip under the sheet. On either side of the bumper there is a set of "handles" around the bottom edge and two stripes on the top. The covers have zippers so they can be washed regularly. I have purchased this Hiccapop Bumper and the Izo Chid Bed Safety Rail Bumper (also from Revain). My 3 year old grandson just moved to a queen bed in the middle of the room. He is actively sleeping in a "helicopter" and immediately managed to fall out of bed. I put a hiccapop bumper on one side and an izo on the other side of the bed. Izo is significantly larger than Hicapop. The Izo measures 6" x 9" x 56" long while the Hiccapop measures 4.5" x 7" wide x 52" long. My grandson tripped over both

I just opened this today at around 5:08pm. Happy to use this for my son! I let it rise to the advertised 4.5" and wait about two hours (according to the instructions) before measuring again. The only thing that bothered me were the ends of the bumper - the left side seemed pretty crumpled and flat - it was the beginning of the crease when it was packed.I hope it rises appropriately.Everything seems fine on the right side.Obviously I won't put this under the mattress topper/sheet until it rises…
