I bought them L and ordered size XL. He wears 14 skinny jeans. Size L fit until washed and then lost a few inches in length and was otherwise quite tight. Size XL worked great for him after washing and L became a sleep pant for my 12 year old who is almost 5ft tall and weighs 95lbs. .

Ordered for my boys XL for 12 yrs (5'2" 107 lbs) and L for 9 yrs (4'9" 88 lbs). After washing in warm water, they remained the same as before washing. There is no shrinkage, the seam holds. Both boys' trousers are slightly loose and the leg hem touches the floor. My boys love the fit. I ordered 2 more, same wash process and then wear. Same results. No complaints here! colors (red/blue, blue, blue).

It took me a long time to find it. Everywhere you look today, flannel is now made from crappy, toxic plastics. Who wants to carry toxic plastic, especially all night?! We ordered a larger size because it indicated they might shrink in the dryer; They shrink a bit after a few washes and dryers and are still a bit big for my baby but who cares at this point?!
