Description of πŸ”§ Enhance Your Raspberry Pi with High-Precision AD/DA Expansion Board: ADS1256 8-CH 24bit ADC and DAC8532 2-CH 16bit DAC Added

There's no AD/DA function on the Raspberry Pi GPIO interface, this may trouble you in the Pi development. However, it won't be a problem anymore. The High-Precision AD/DA Board allows you to add high-precision AD/DA functions to the Raspberry Pi. Standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, supports Raspberry Pi series boards, Jetson Nano. Onboard ADS1256, 8ch 24bit high-precision ADC (4ch differential input), 30ksps sampling rate Onboard DAC8532, 2ch 16bit high-precision DAC. Onboard input interface via pinheaders, for connecting analog signal- the pinout is compatible with Waveshare sensor interface standard, easy to connect various analog sensor modules

Doesn't work on Pi 4

The documentation they posted on their website was only tested "for Pi 3b" so despite what they claim it doesn't work on Pi 4. The product itself comes with no documentation, just a box with a hat and a few screws.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Weight

Works well, well built, good self-test function

I use it with Raspberry pi3. Once you figure it out and find the software for it, everything will work fine. The processing quality is very good. The fact that they have test bridges you can measure with, as well as a built in photometer and potentiometer, makes it easy to test your software before adding an external sensor. I would buy more products from this manufacturer because of the quality.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Appearance
