Bought these to help me disassemble and then reassemble my Brembo calipers after they came back from plating. Worked great for plugging the brake lines (not a drop lost) and using air pressure to force the pistons out. This is definitely a must have in any DIY workshop.

This is my second set of this brand. They are of exceptional quality and are primarily used to plug holes in items prior to powder coating. They seal very well and I have also used them as test plugs when testing vacuum lines. Surprisingly durable - I've reused many times in a 400F powder coating oven. Different sizes intersect so that all holes are covered from the minimum to the maximum dowel size.

I had a hole in a metal tank that was below the water table and nothing I tried could stop the leak. I ended up resorting to a wooden dowel which would stop the water but I knew the wood wouldn't last long so I ordered these dowels. I found one that fit exactly and glued it in place. He successfully stopped the water. Once the area around the hole was dry I was able to reinforce the plug with another epoxy. Now the problem that could have been catastrophic seems solved. I bought these plugs for other purposes, namely to clamp the ends of the brake lines during the brake service so that I don't have such a large escape of brake fluid. They're hardly fit for it, but it's not their fault. The narrowest/smallest is still a bit big for Toyota brake lines, but it holds the flow down to a slow drip.
