Big things come in small packages

In my previous review I showed you an ESP32 connected to an external OLED. This paragraph takes it to another level. This module has an OLED on the board. The default program is a WiFi scanner. Give it power, wait 5 seconds and see what networks this module finds. Great for stealth driving. You can also use it as a signal strength scanner at home or in the office. You can also flash it with another sketch and do the same as with ESP32 and OLED (weather station, graphics generator, etc.). Aboutโ€ฆ

Pretty cool, best in computer components

I'm using this to run micropython with the latest esp32 port "esp32-bluetooth.bin". Hook in the "ssd1306 OLED" driver. Use Thonny 3.0 or higher, it now has built-in support for esp32, it's now very easy to upload and run scripts on these boards, no terminal required to transfer files. which was confusing to say the least as I have no idea what I'm doing. Copy and paste this and don't forget to paste the "ssd1306" driver on the board: machine import, ssd1306i2c = machine.I2C (scl =โ€ฆ

Great ESP32 board with screen standoff

Unlike some other ESP32 boards with screens that are flush to the board, this board has the screen mounted on a translucent standoff that extends 0.2" above the board . This is very handy for packing into a larger project - the board can be mounted inside the project case, with the screen mounted flush with the outside of the case. Boards with screen mounted flush to the board are about the same height as the ESP32 itself. and is not suitable for housing for a polished end product. Note thatโ€ฆ

Nice ESP32 board with OLED display!

First Impression: Nice board with small OLED display. One day I immediately noticed the plastic base on which the OLED sits. The base was tightened with 4 small screws at the back. This makes the board more stable as the position of the OLED doesn't move as easily. The default sketch was a program that ran a Wi-Fi scan, which is nice because you can immediately see that the Wi-Fi module and the display unit are both working properly. This can serve as a test of the functionality of the boardโ€ฆ

Carefully! There is no charge in the photo. Wrong pinout

So I thought this might be my new favorite board. My first test and project went great. The project was smaller and didn't need many contacts. So I bought more (6 in total). My next project was much larger and used most of the pins. I connected the board to the connectors on the board I designed and the OLED didn't work. I stuck the pins on the new board and started troubleshooting and eventually fried the second screen but found out why. When designing the board, I studied the pinout picturedโ€ฆ

Excellent build quality, online documentation, ESP32 is great

There are two important things about any of these IoT boards: quality build and documentation. On the first question, the board appears to be of relatively high quality. The soldering is consistent and of high quality: the ideal amount of solder at each joint. The plate is clean with no visible traces of chemical residues. The screen printing is clear, crisp, the text is legible. with headers). The board also had a sticker with a support email address in case there were any questions. Theโ€ฆ

Good esp32 board, like OLED display

The ESP32 OLED Development Board is suitable for experimenting and developing projects based on esp32. The built in display makes it easy to view status information without relying on stupid LEDs or trying to hook up an external display. Summary Pros - good display, reasonable price, faster than 8266 boards, 32MB flash. Cons: Difficult to set headers. In the vicinity of the display cable, the WLAN signal is slightly weaker than with other WLAN cards. This board was developed by the Chineseโ€ฆ
