Simple step and direction control interface,Take anti-static measures before you use the A4988 modules in case of short-circuit. Five different step resolutions: full-step, half-step, quarter-step, eighth-step, and sixteenth-step. Output drive capacity of up to 35 V and ± 1.2 A. Adjustable current control lets you set the maximum current output with a potentiometer. Intelligent chopping control that automatically selects the correct current decay mode (fast decay or slow decay). Over-temperature thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout, and crossover-current protection.

Be careful with your connections and this works great.

I used these to control a stepper motor and found them very useful instead of a direct H-bridge controller as it gives you directional and stepping control signals. It has adjustable current limit, which my previous H-bridge controllers didn't have, and it worked well with the AccelStepper Arduino library. The only downside is that they burn out very easily. I ran the motor on 24v and any loose connection to the motor could burn the controller. If it goes away, it will somehow pull out my…
