Rust free, but this paint.

Every time I used these nails they stripped the white paint and left it hanging on the head of the nail. I mean it doesn't matter if the stock is painted, just the head, but the hanging stripes of paint are pretty ugly.

Pros
  • Brand Name: Hillman Fastener
Cons
  • Nothing Here

The paint job is a serious flaw

The paint's ability to stay upside down is terrible. The tip is peeling off in an almost perfect circle, indicating the wrong adhesives were used to make the paint stick. Oddly enough, it remains on a part of the nail that you'll never see again. In general, you might as well buy unpainted nails and save a few bucks. So if they're not varnished they're decent enough so I gave them 3 stars anyway.

Pros
  • Product dimensions: 2.75 x 4.78 x 1.38 inches
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Best nails 4 more aluminum pads!

I used these nails to attach an aluminum panel that had come loose from my three story house. These nails are good because they don't bend and they stick to the aluminum even after you press them with one hand. In other words, they have very sharp ends. This helped me a lot when working on three floors and trying to score them while holding on to the ladder with my other hand.

The paintwork is a serious flaw

The paint's ability to stay on its head is just terrible. The moment you start tapping it, the paint on top comes off in an almost perfect circle, indicating that the right binders weren't used to make the paint stick. Oddly enough, it stays on a part of the nail that you'll never see again. All in all, you might as well buy unpainted nails and save a few bucks. So color aside they are decent enough nails so I gave them 3 stars anyway.

Pros
  • Nails in the tape
Cons
  • Some flaws

I bought these to fix the white aluminum dashboards. I thought aluminum would bend too easily, very disappointed with that! Stainless steel is quite soft and bends very easily even if you are very careful and gentle. Because of the bend, at least 1/3 had to be removed. For most that don't bend, if you CAREFULLY tap them in, the paint will fall right off their heads. You can just buy unpainted stainless steel nails (or try aluminum?). For the price and based on other reviews. I expected much…
