Fixed wheels for dustbin

The wheels used to fall off the dustbin, now I can fix them and it's very easy. I will keep them on hand if and when this happens again.

Pros
  • Convenient to use
Cons
  • Functionality

I'm crazy about acorn nuts.

Nice to have when I need to remove a wheel from an axle that has it. Although they are very tight. If your axle shaft isn't 5/8, don't use it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Axle nut in acorn nuts

Good product. It is easier to install and remove when needed. You may need a washer or two to ensure a good fit. The pressure washer compensates for the slack a little more easily, but not as comfortably.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Requires socket

Works well with nuts

Used to change my wheels on the bin as I needed to remove the holes that were drilled in the old wheels. I got them to replace the old ones so my wheels wouldn't fall off the way to the trash can. Street. They worked well and were easy to install.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • No instructions

Quick installation holds tight.

Perfect fit. Made a 14" fence gate for my driveway, added two 5/8 axles and wheels to open and close, bar ends with caps worked great with these caps and still held tight. Works better than drilling holes in axles and cotter pins. Looks good on wheels.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Heavy drain pipe needs to be wheeled. Bought a 5/8" bar from Home Depot and 10" wheels from Harbor Freight. I welded the axle, put shims on the wheels, and these caps hold the wheels well. Center the cover over the axle and tap with a hammer to start. Seems to be holding on.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Negative available
