Hiware Kitchen Silverware Drawer Organizer Review

I love it with our new cabinets, we have quite wide drawers and this expandable organizer makes it easy if I want to downsize in the future. I can only move the sides but at the moment our large drawers look very neat thanks that they come with glue dots for the bottom so they don't damage the drawer itself.

This is a very well made cutlery tray. The best part is that it opens to fit in a drawer. The tray was too deep for the drawer I was trying to put in. I just flipped it to the side and it fit perfectly. Instead of the cutlery standing vertically, it now stands horizontally. I liked the tray so much that I kept it. I would recommend measuring the depth of your drawer to make sure it fits properly. Not all boxes are the same!

I love the look of the bamboo coaster. It has plenty of storage space and it is nice that the tray can be expanded with larger drawers for extra storage. The only downside is that it has a strong smell. Hopefully it will weather over time but I'll try to clean it really well to see if that helps get rid of the smell it has. Will update when the smell goes away. Update: The lingering smell is definitely gone after about a month of use! Would recommend buying.

The main compartment sits above two side drawers that slide in and out so it can be adjusted to fit the width of the drawer. I fully extended the left drawer and fully inserted the right drawer and it fits perfectly. I like that this means there are no gaps around the edges where you can lose your cutlery. Looks good out of the box and fits well in standard packaging. However, the section separator bars did not reach the bottom of the tray. There was some space between the bottom of the tray and the bottom of each bar, allowing items like butter knives to slide under the divider. When you get the knife out of the tray it will get stuck on the divider/bar and you have to try to pull it out carefully without damaging the tray. I like that the size is adjustable. The drawer I put it in had a built in chopping board that couldn't be closed once the organizer was in place, but I've never used a chopping board so I removed it permanently and it fits perfectly. For those who do housework. The bottom or organizer has multiple stops that prevent the drawers from extending too far and becoming loose.
