Just What I Needed

I was making a long sleeve project for a client and he had a solid black quilt. I didn't want to use white or off-white cotton for her $900 project. It sewed like a dream and had no issues with thin or thick patches.

Black Scales and Hard Spots

I needed black cotton for a quilt. My choice fell on Quilters Dream Poly in black or Hobbs 80/20 in black. I didn't want to use polyester as I didn't wash the fabrics beforehand. However, I was not satisfied with Hobbs 80/20. When I opened the cotton I noticed that it had a lot of hard spots. I couldn't see what it really was, but they were everywhere.
