Description of πŸ‘Ά Hobbs Heirloom Fusible Crib Size: 45 X 60 Hf45 (Standard Version) - Top-Notch Quality!

Iron on batting fusible on both sides. Fusible 80/20 is made the same way as our Premium 80/20, except we use a fusible resin in the spray bonding process. This resin eliminates the need for pinning or basting, saving time and effort. Simply press your quilt from the center to the outer edges. Make sure you keep your iron moving, pressing approximately 3-4 seconds in each area. Batting is washable with shrinkage of 3-5%, may be quilted up to 4" apart

Hobb's Heirloom Fusible Batting

I had never heard of Hobb's Fusible Batting and learned about Hobbs Heirloom Fusible Batting from a YouTube quilting video. I read reviews; some were good, some not so good. All in all they led me to believe that this would be a good choice for the tapestry I was completing. I couldn't wait to get it, I was so excited! When it arrived I dropped everything and tried it out. I wasn't disappointed! The fusible cotton was sooooo easy to use. Follow the instructions and it's a great product. The…

Pros
  • Iron on cotton, fusible on both sides
Cons
  • Out of fashion

I've been using this cotton for many years and I love it! I make small reproductions of quilts and I love how the finished quilts look, especially after washing because they look aged and wrinkled. I hand over the quilt and it is needled very well - no pulling. I've also found that my stitches are much smaller with this batting than with wool batting or stitches made for hand quilting. Tried using a different cotton spray - didn't like the mess and fumes. I also sewed the thread with a…

Pros
  • Simply press the quilt from the center to the outside edges. Make sure to move the iron by pressing each area for about 3-4 seconds.

Great idea once you get the hang of it

This padding is a great alternative if you hate working with multiples Pins to fight a sandwich made from a patchwork quilt. However, there is a trick to using it and I didn't get it the first time, although I followed the manufacturer's video closely. Luckily I ordered two crib sizes and found out on the second blanket. First you still need to use pins on the edges as they will come loose anyway. It is very important to iron properly. The technique that worked best for me was to go through it…

Pros
  • Padding is washable with 3-5% shrinkage and can be quilted up to 4" apart
Cons
  • Available in black only
