They're not bad quality, but the problem is that when they fit the baby food properly, it's oriented so the pinky either sticks out or almost comes out. He left what appeared to be a red dent on his foot, but it didn't seem to bother him or stay. I think if I knew his toe was sticking out I'd probably get something else, it's just problematic, especially if they're new to walking.

These shoes are excellent quality. My little ones have been wearing them every day for the past two months and they still look brand new. They are intact, not worn, frayed, etc. The half size is ideal as it gives fast growing babies enough wiggle room without adding too much height. They're light and airy, hold and protect your toes, but look like a sandal (compared to some "sandals" which are basically sneakers with a few tiny holes) and just really cute.

I bought two pairs at different times. The first pair was a size 6.5 and was too big. So I figured he would grow in them and bought a second pair in a size 5.5. AND THESE SHOULD FIT, but they were literally the same size. So I played with their sizes and just kept the first pair I ordered and bought them personally. I like these sandals for my 4 year old son. He is autistic, so very sensitive to materials and prefers to wear socks and sneakers, but these sandals didn't bother him at all.
