I have done all my seats with these pliers and the hog rings provided. The pliers are spring loaded, they hold the rings very well, I've never had one slip.

I bought these pliers to secure the bottom of the chain link fence to the guy wire and they do a very good job. The pig rings hold well and the tongs are easy to use.

The rings are cut incorrectly. The ends of the rings do not overlap in the crimping tool. The ends cut the opposite of what they should and get stuck in the tool causing extra work. The item arrived on time and ordering was easy.
