Great product. Saw the bad reviews and almost didn't order. But I tried it and I think the bad reviews didn't know how to install it. It's easy to install, but you have to be on hand. Instructions with bad drawings. Check the garage frame before installation

Works Great. The only trick in the initial setup is to balance the cable lengths for a square elevator. I ended up having to put the top back on a pair of sawhorses to get the cables right. Also, like other reviews, the crank ratio is low, so using a drill instead of a hand crank makes life easier.

Just installed today. The instructions weren't the best for JL but a YouTube video and a quick call to the company and everything was sorted. If you have any questions, be sure to call the company! I ended up lowering the top to the ground to better align the length of the wires before raising it again and it helped stabilize and ease the mind.

Our hard top broke. After spending 4 hours installing it and then after 3 hours confirming that it could hold the weight a safe distance off the ground, we set about lifting the hard top to the ceiling. Fell all the way down and smashed our top. We watched videos from the manufacturers themselves on how to assemble the top. Followed the instructions to the letter and scored all the studs. Own fastening screws bent in the lintel. Something was wrong.

I have just purchased a 2021 Jeep 2 door and was looking for an affordable and secure way to both remove and store my top in a two car garage. I spent most of the day reading instructions, making an installation plan, and getting done. I am very happy with the quality of the components and would highly recommend this life. I did all the work myself except for a little help installing the 2 x 6 on the roof. I found the handle slow so I used a drill to speed up the process.

This product works exactly as advertised. $150 for the entire system versus $400 for the lift mechanism. If you're just using a drill with an attachment instead of a handle, it works pretty much the same. And MUCH faster due to the low turn rate.
