This is needed for the smaller size.

Milwaukee hole saws have at least 2 different mandrel sizes. I was a bigger size and had to buy it for size 15/16. I don't know at what size the large arbor comes into play.

Very nice Milwaukee hole saw mandrel at a good price

Well made and finished Milwaukee mandrel. Fits standard 1/2" threads in smaller hole saws. The mandrel body is painted black, not uncoated as shown. Recommended.

Much better than the ones in the box

This mandrel has a one-piece shank with flats. Result: no slippage in the chuck. My first mandrel used the end of a pilot nozzle to secure it in the chuck - it kept slipping and just broke off at the end. This is the best gazebo.
