You pay for that. I needed it to cut a 4" hole in a pair of cheap $8 tables from IKEA. Since most of the material is bolsa wood or chipboard, I figured this might be enough to get the job done without spending $30-$40 on just a single 4-inch hole saw. I already have a set of smaller Ryobi hole saws and have used this drill head with the 4 inch saw that comes with the set. Mine hasn't warped, warped, bent or broken while I was using it to cut holes in the end of the table. It wasn't hard to cut,
I hesitated before purchasing this set due to the low star rating and some bad reviews. However, I bought this kit for hydroponics and therefore drilled plastic and not wood or metal. I can tell you this hole saw kit is a fantastic investment and value for money if you are not drilling into tough materials. However, I definitely see a lot of people complaining about the quality of drilling in harder materials as personally I definitely wouldn't trust wood and metal. In general, it just dependsβ¦
I wanted to cut out a dryer air vent, some cat door holes in the interior hollow doors and some holes for the radio antenna wire. I didn't want to spend $30-$40 on a hole saw (local big store) just because I'm going to use it a few times. This set did the job, but it's pretty flimsy. The square piece you see in the bottom right picture of the case is a retaining clip for large saws and is a slotted hole that fits into the bare shaft.
