🚗 Holley 12-815-1 Black Electric Fuel Pump - Optimal for Autos Review

Fuel leak from floor pan when new. 8 gallons. Tightened the screws, didn't help. Are electric fuel pumps designed to leak while driving? For this reason 5 stars.

Just connected yesterday and leaking everywhere, very poor quality doesn't even seem genuine. After all, it also smelled of fuel when I unpacked it for the first time, possibly used and very loud.

Loud as hell. If it was installed less than a year ago. The pump oscillates before running. The 90 day warranty sucks for a pump that costs that much. The pump is insulated with thick rubber and is louder than the exhaust. new 3/8 steel gas lines and a new gas tank on my Chevy 55.

I've had them for over 20 years. There is a conversion kit but the price is so cheap that I buy a new one every 3 or 4 years. One thing I did years ago was let it dry for a few seconds. You will die quickly if you do this. I have 2 tanks with switches. Sometimes I wasn't paying attention and let one tank dry and then flipped the switch for tank 2. Not good for longevity. To start off, I want anyone reading this post to know that the original Holly Black was defective. The engine hummed every ten seconds. As a result, my car was out of service for a long time. I like the pump though. There are several issues I see in the future. First, the pump is pretty noisy. Judging by other people's reviews, it's louder than I expected. Secondly, seals seem very cheap. Which can quickly go bad under certain conditions. At some point I will most likely have to replace this…
