Hard to believe - Tools and Equipment

I thought some of the other reviewers had gone mad until I got this ethanol tester yeah. The sticker is upside down! It can only be used with great difficulty, or you can peel off the sticker and flip it over. BY THE WAY. it works very well

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • ---

reverse label. is it true?

My review unit came with the label turned inside out. Given the price of this tester and its ease of manufacture, it wasn't easy to overlook. The label also warps easily, so good luck flipping it without stretching it.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The tester works fine but some of them are dumb.

The tester works fine but was kind of stupid, they only measured 70% to 90% ethanol content. You can do what I did and measure the distance for 10% (3/8 inch IIRC) and mark in 10% increments so you can measure 0-100% total ethanol.

Pros
  • Drug 🔥
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Don't add a new hole to test the inside of your motor just yet.

Experience the e85 like a boss with this Holley glass fuel test kit. Add fuel and water to determine the ethanol content of local pumps. You might just be surprised and glad you took one before you got that swing out. I've only seen E70s at my local gas stations for the last year or so.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Leaks - Lid won't close

Used and leaking a few days ago. There is no seal or anything like that on the lid, just plastic on the jar. I've tried it 3 times and every time I tilt it slightly it drips out of the lid's threads and the ethanol gets into my hands. And of course I'm outside of the return date. I would have expected more from a big name like Holly.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Safety

First broken, second not in perfect condition

The first one I ordered was broken in the packaging. The second was with the sticker on the head. I was able to remove the sticker and flip it over. I read other reviews with the same problem. Someone clearly lacks quality control. When it's all sorted out it's a really cool instrument so I don't get random e85 mixes anymore. The batch I had in my car was actually E90. I assumed otherwise. Without a tester I would dump all the gas instead of just mixing it with 93 to get 85% ethanol.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions
