Very comfortable in the mouth, and being a relatively new diver and spending a lot of time with just buoyancy, I do notice - or I should see that I don't notice - side exhaust. On my first dive with this regulator I had to remember that there should be bubbles and look for them, a very comfortable feeling.

Dc 7 seems to be a good regulator although it has some problems there was a quality control issue on the first run. They were missing an o-ring on the high pressure side of the regulator which allowed the second stage to flow freely and also the dc7 could not be converted from yoke to din. Hollis will also never make a conversion kit as the regulator part consists of the first stage which is 45% of the regulator which is the yoke part. 500SE: Interesting version of the classic 2nd stage with side exhaust. It's worth noting that this regulator shares the same internals as the Oceanic Omega 3 which has the added benefit of a pre-dive switch. If you're willing to spend a little more, this might be worth checking out instead.
