Great cold water wetsuit

Great cold water wetsuit. I was cold at 100 feet in Monterey Bay, but it was a bearable cold. Three other divers came trembling, but not me. The built-in hood and thick body really help. I highly recommend it.

Probably the best semi dry kit for the money

I recently bought a second Hollis NeoTek semi dry kit (now V2, XLS size) and it's perfect for my style of diving. It's incredibly comfortable, fits really well and keeps you warm even in winter when I'm diving at a local quarry. I still have the first one (V1 size L) but the zip broke after 5 years of almost weekly use.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Minor issues

Good wetsuit, not dry

Really good wetsuit. No dry suit at all. The water penetrates very slowly and stays close to you to keep your body warm. I was in North Creek for an hour where the water is currently liquid ice and all parts of me covered by the suit were relatively warm except for my head. The hood of this wetsuit is not as thick as the others. Nice suit but $300 would be the max I think this suit is worth it.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Compatibility

Period of Best Color. BUY, it's worth every penny.

Better than a drysuit and without the hose and extra buoy that a drysuit needs. this suit kept me warm here in the pacific near venice beach in california. Look no further, once you try on this semi dry suit you will hang up your dry suit and forget about it or you can toss it in the garage and let it rot lol. Do yourself a favor and buy this awesome costume. you can thank me later yay, this suit will be the death of all dry suits ;)

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Long lead time

Great suit - I stay warm

I'm 1.73 m tall and 75 kg. I'm a bit big for a suit but after trying it on at home I was hoping it would stretch a bit. Cave diver and after 25 dives this summer in Mexico I can't tell you how excited I am. The water isn't cold, only 78 degrees, but I do cool off easily, especially after a few days of diving with dives of up to 2.5 hours. Even at the end of the ride the suit worked great, wear and tear was minimal (caverns wear the suit down and I like squeezing through tight holes), theโ€ฆ

Felt good in the 60s

Really warm suit, it was too hot on the surface at 70f. Felt good in the 60's, a bit cold in the 50's as you'd expect from wetsuits (it's a wetsuit, after all). The seals work well, you can feel the cold water rushing up your arms from your gloves when you inflate, but it doesn't get past the elbow seal. Ditto for the ankles: the water in the suit will pool above the seal if you leave the suit open and try to get out of the water: you will need to grab the inside of your leg to pull the sealโ€ฆ
