Time will tell how the belt clip holds up but for now it stays firmly on my belt (no loops). An iPhone7+ with a symmetrical case fits in and removes easily...perhaps a thicker case will fit. The magnetic closure remains closed. In fact, in this case there are no disadvantages.

Although the car is beautiful and protected, it is HUGE. Wearing it on my belt made me look like I had a gun. I have a very thin iPhone XS Max case and it floats in this holster. Possibly for a Galaxy Note or other large phone with LifeProof or Otterbox. Also, I can't return it, so someone needs a big suitcase.

Very disappointed. Although the case is big enough for my Galaxy S9 Plus, this phone case started falling apart after less than 4 months. The attachment of the sleeve holding the spring clip to the body failed and the slot holding the spring clip also failed at the seam on the underside of the spring clip.

Love this phone holster! I usually use holster loops, but when traveling to airports it's handy to use a clip as I can just unclip it from my belt and thread the holster through the x-ray machine. I have several pairs of pants, one of which attaches to my belt so I don't have to move my holster from one pair to another. Perfect fit for my iPhone 6 Plus. The design and quality of this product is outstanding which is why I own 7 iPhone Xs Max holsters.

(Bought to hold the new Huawei Mate SE) It was too big to wear on a belt. In addition, the belt loops are too small for every man's belt to fit through. Also, these hinges are so cheap that I wouldn't even trust them for a second to hold my new phone. And my girlfriend told me it looked like I had a wallet on me. She ended up using it as a suitcase that she carries in her purse and seems happy with it. I ended up buying a great vertical case from Nite Ize.

The clip is made of plastic and is easy to remove from the belt. Maybe too easy. I have one of those woven leather pant straps and it might be too thick. I went to the movies, one of those movie theaters with soft reclining seats. When the movie ended, I instinctively put my hand on the strap where the phone should have been. He drove away and stayed in the seat. Thank goodness I checked when I got up from my chair! Otherwise a beautifully finished leather case for my iPhone X with the battery…
