The item was well packaged and arrived undamaged. Both augers are well designed and made of durable steel. Both drills worked well on both hard and soft ground. Auger had no problem drilling through the weed control fabric I kept for years. Depending on the material of weed control fabric used, it may be a good idea to cut a hole in it before drilling. I can highly recommend the product.

The larger bit was my favorite! I created a flower bed around a crape myrtle tree that had lots of small, bushy roots! My first try was with a shovel and I gave up! Ordered auger drills hoping they would get the job done. The large cutter was very easy to work with and really made a nice deep planting hole. I tried one of these bits for the first time and it worked very well. I recommend using a drill with a handle, or at least getting a universal handle to get a better grip on it. Put the drill on slow rotation and lower the clutch all the way, because this thing can hurt you more than you think if it hits a rock.
