🚗 Enhance Your Honda's Performance with the Honda 08208-0080 Oil Shaft Drive Review

My motorcycles are not tractors, so I only use Honda gear oil in my Hondas. When you consider how much it will cost to replace bearings and gears in a Honda rear wheel drive single drive shaft motorcycle, why risk using another brand of oil.

Difficult to judge until several thousand miles, if not more, have been covered. I liked that the 8 ounces were just the right size, maybe with an extra ounce for my bike. I have a 2006 Yamaha V Star Classic and the 8 ounces was just a tad larger than the owner's manual said. I haven't noticed any difference in my wave sound or performance so it seems to be working fine. Nice.

Excellent product, suitable oil for use in Honda products that require driveshaft lubrication, Honda P/N 08208-0080. I have a small ATV and ATV service center and always use this lube on Honda vehicles and equipment where required. It doesn't seem to matter what vehicle I'm servicing (quad/motorcycle), 1 bottle is never enough, I'm always 1-2 ounces short and have to open 2 bottles. No complaint, just check your service manuals for the amount required to get enough.

Honda driveshaft bikes (and probably all other models) use a hypoid gear with helical gears on the driveshaft. Due to the technical tolerances of this type of gearbox, the oil is exposed to extreme conditions. Not all oils work. That's all I'll ever use. The only complaint is that the bottle has a few more ounces of product than will fit in my oil well, so I end up trying to collect some at the bottom of the bottles until I get a freebie. :D
