Most realistic on controllers

This is my third X-Plane needle and it's far from the best. The build quality is excellent. The ability to control the position near the center without falling into fixation is remarkable and realistic. Fits perfectly with the Logitech/Saitech Throttle Quadrant. Pitch control is stiffer than previous yokes, which is also more realistic in cruise and helps prevent oversteer on landing. Now I just need the steering pedals without the @!$% center detent.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No instructions

Great great great!

This yoke is unbeatable at this price. This is far better than anything I've used. As a real pilot I was looking for something that could increase the realism of my home simulator and this helped! This fork doesn't even compare to my old CH fork. Impact resistance is almost ideal. Combined with the dual trims, I quickly forget I'm flying a simulator. The 180 degree rotation makes this collar look real. The buttons on the collar itself are fantastic, positioned correctly and feel great. The…

An Amazing Yoke!: Flight Controls

This yoke pretty much proves that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to get a simulation yoke. What we forget is that this is all a simulation and you can never recreate real life without building a fully functional multi-million dollar machine like Airbus and Boeing's. So if we get Company X to sell things for $1,000 or tell you it's more of a feedback (which is still garbage btw) and charge for it is just a scam. This $250 yoke is 99.99% of what you need to model. The 4 or 6 times…

A definite improvement over other needles

I have switched to this Logitech yoke. I read a ton of reviews about this before I came to work while training as a private pilot and I needed the right mount for my Xplane simulator to complete the maneuvering course I got from Glim a while back. Logitech was considered the best at the time for the budget end of the spectrum when I first got it. Had it come out sooner, I would have taken it out of the gutter because of Logitech's offer. The price for what you get is top notch. You get a switch

Good roll, Pitch Boeing Max X. Hit it so hard you'll break your wrist.

Overall I gave this model 4 stars. By far the biggest problem is that the elastics are set too high/hard and not adjustable. I've contacted Honeycomb several times and they said it was designed that way based on engineering force measurements. However, raising or lowering the control yoke requires so much force that it appears the plane is very poorly trimmed at the other end. I fly 172's regularly and it's much more difficult than a real plane. Rolling from side to side is very easy and…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
