The description of this fan is misleading. That .

The description of this fan is very misleading. It says the blades are rated for wet environments, which means the entire fan is moisture resistant - it's NOT wet, just wet. When the box arrived it was very clearly stated on the side that it was for indoor use (ie not directly exposed to the elements). The instructions also clearly state on the lid that it is moisture resistant. If you are trying to buy this for outdoor use, "WET" is NOT suitable for wet environments.

Nice but expensive

I really like the tropical look of this fan and am putting it in my bedroom. The fan has really big plastic blades that look like rattan. I had to buy a light set. The angle of the blades is a little misleading, plus I also ordered a remote control. So I paid for each component separately which made it a bit pricey. You need to build the remote controller into the fan when you install it. Otherwise you have to remove the fan again. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a fan where the…

You don't get anything you don't pay for!

Good looking, very affordable and has almost five stars on the Revain website. My experience, not so much. You can hear this fan motor hum continuously from 20 feet away. I bought two and they both make creaking noises sometimes, especially when first starting. Did everything to troubleshoot - to no avail. I have four Hunter fans in the house, they are so quiet you don't realize they're on even if you don't see the blades spinning. I pay extra to replace two of my Honeywell outdoor fans with…

Decent budget outdoor fan

I bought these to replace 20 year old outdoor fans. I added the Westinghouse school lighting sets which went well together. The fan blade quick attachment function saved about 5 minutes. High-speed engines emit a noticeable hum. The included dropbars were useless for my application, so I spent another $25 on two roughly identical dropbars. Despite the description, these fans are matte black rather than bronze. In general, these fans were no more difficult or easier to install than any other…

Great fan, easy to install. Great price

I bought 2 of these fans to replace our worn out porch fans. They were easy to install and took about an hour each, although people kept talking to me the entire time. The twist-lock blades were very easy to install on the blade mounts, however, the blade insulators were difficult to hold in place when tightening the motor bolts. I finally remembered that I had spray glue and it was a breeze. The fans work great, no hesitation or vibrations but with lots of airflow! As you can see from my…

The product does not work and does not seem to support the seller.

The fan does not work and apparently there is no support. I've installed many ceiling fans in the past and this one won't turn on. I checked the wiring, switch, power supply and everything is fine except the fan doesn't turn on. I'm calling Revain because I've already spent several hours troubleshooting and I think I just need a replacement motor or power supply. Revain suggests installing the fan elsewhere to see if it works elsewhere. I explain why that's a terrible idea. They forward me to…

does not provide the airflow specified by the manufacturer

Good - well assembled, nicely packaged, easy to follow instructions. The reason I wouldn't recommend buying it is a $20 Lowes Harbor Breeze fan replacement that was rated at 1250 CFM (cubic feet per minute). On my enclosed porch I have (3) $20 Lowes fans 9 feet apart in the center. I replaced a medium sized Honeywell fan rated at over 5000 CFM. So I reasoned that the airflow would be noticeably greater. My wife was concerned that this would all blow around on the porch as the air movement (CFM)

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • weak

Easy to install, elegant, great airflow, quiet

I bought three of these units and just installed them today. I bought two white ones for the bedrooms and one dark one for my screened in porch. The previous ceiling fan on the porch didn't even feel a light breeze at its height. On Medium, sitting sideways, I'm feeling a nice steady breeze as I type this. I live in Southwest Florida and I spend 90% of my time at home on the porch so I need a good fan. For the last few years I have used Honeywell tower fans instead of a ceiling fan. That's…
